If you heard that designing sisters Chrys and Linda Wong – best known as the duo behind The Battalion clothing line – take organic materials and produce a line of clothing that is West Hollywood/Soho ready, would you believe it? Probably not because so many eco-friendly clothes seem, well, frumpy. But that word will never be in reference to The Battalion’s collection which features such goodies as a sexy, one shouldered red mini dress which could make itself right at home at The Sky Club, a white fringed, sleeveless mock turtleneck tunic that will fit in as well at the office as it does at W, and such a sexy, yet comfy, bright yellow halter top that you’ll actually long for those steamy New York afternoons. The sisters Wong moved from using recycled fabrics into bamboo and organic materials so they could stay on the environmental
path while keeping quality consistent. Forgive us, but we have to say it – doing the right thing never looked so good.
